Ernest C. Miller, of Oshkosh, age 81, passed away at Bethel Home on Monday, October 26, 2015. He was born in Rudolph, WI on June 14, 1934, the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Kruse) Miller. On August 19, 1961 he married his wife of 54 years, Karen Johnson. He did farming until 1964 and then went into welding. He retired from Mathwig's in Oshkosh. Ernie enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years with his brother Gordon and brother-in-law Melvin. In more recent years, before going into a nursing home, he enjoyed going for walks with his wife Karen. He will be remembered for being a hard worker and for his being a faithful member of the Oshkosh Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Karen; children: Deanna MacKenzie, Dawn (Thomas) Farr, Jennifer Miller, Andrea (Travis) Noe and Benjamin Miller; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers: Charles (Penny) Miller and Gordon (Mary Lou) Miller; sisters: Dorothy (Horst) Krause and Pat (Skip) Grudznske; and sister-in-law, Lauralee Miller. He was preceded in death by his sons: Michael and Andrew Miller; and brothers: Robert Miller and Harold (Gertrude) Miller.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Oshkosh Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3343 Omro Rd., Oshkosh, with Nathan Sleger officiating. Friends will be received at the Kingdom Hall from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
