Obituary

Ernestine Neubauer, age 94, of Oshkosh died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Sterling House assisted living. She was born January 9, 1915 the daughter of Henry and Justine (Eurich) Koch.

Ernestine was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and married Edgar Neubauer there on August 22, 1936 and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2006. She was member of the church's ladies guild and altar guild.

A dedicated mother and homemaker, Ernestine loved gardening, especially her beautiful flowers.

Ernestine will always be remembered by her children, Gerald (Joan) Neubauer of Oshkosh and Carol (Donald) Thorsen of Winneconne; grandchildren: Robin (Richard) Suess of New York, Tracy Aberkamp of German Town, Kristine (Mark) Haskin of Arkansas, Daniel (Debra) Ludwig of Mississippi, and Courtney (Erick) Hausner of Oshkosh; and great-grandchildren: Alexa Suess, Steven Ludwig, Mathew Ludwig, Aricka Hausner, Scott Hausner and Ryan Haskin; brother, Richard (Lucille) Koch; and sisters, Margaret (Joe) Stieg and Laura (Ralph) Dickson. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Jean Ludwig; brothers, Henry Koch, John Koch and Donald (Minnie) Koch; and sisters, Marie Ziebell, Ann Pausig and Kathryn Pryne.

Funeral service for Ernestine will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 N. Eagle Street, with Reverend David Pagel officiating. A time of support and sharing of memories will take place at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
