Erwin E. Krueger, age 89, of Omro, died early Monday morning, June 4, 2012, surrounded by the love of his family at Webster Manor in Omro. Erwin was born July 2, 1922, in Winchester, the son of Fred and Hilda (Olson) Krueger. He married Lola V. Schmude on June 12, 1942, in Berlin. After 67 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on December 13, 2009. Erwin had worked and retired as Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for the Omro Public School System. Erwin loved his family, family life and all it offered. He was a good father and grandfather. His family also fondly remembers his gardening skills, his enjoyment of cars, his reading of history, playing cards and watching sports.

Erwin is loved and will be missed by his daughters, Karen (Ray) Fraleigh and Lynda (Wyatt) Miller; son in law, Elwyn "Andy" Anderson, all of Omro; grandchildren, Keith (Julie), Paula (Robin), Paul (Judy), Troy (Terri), Jodi Lyn (Todd), Tony (Kim), Quint (Angela), Teresa (Tony) and Laura (Kevin); 20 great grandchildren; sister in law, LaVern Olson; brother in law, Art Babler; many nieces, nephews, friends and his canine friend, Milo. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Darlene Anderson; brother, Arnold Krueger; sister, Leone Bable; several sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews.

In respect to Erwin's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 8, 2012, at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service of remembrance at 6:30 p.m. Erwin will be laid to rest with his wife at the Borth Cemetery. A memorial in Erwin's name is being established.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Webster Manor Assisted Living, which Erwin considered his home, for caring for him as one of their own.
