Esther I. Anklam, age 93, of Omro, died Friday October 10, 2014 at Bethel Home. She was born December 31, 1920 in Winnebago County, WI, the daughter of George and Bertha (Zinzow) Rupnow. Esther married Everett "Bill" Anklam in Pickett on Aug 31, 1940 and were married 56 years. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1997. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Together they operated a farm and also owned and operated Anklam Trucking.
Family was very important to her and she was loved and will be missed by her children, Judy (Michael) Holst, Arlon (Deb) Anklam, Gerald (Janice) Anklam, Sharon (Jim) Carpenter, Merlin (Janet) Anklam; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters Patsy and Linda, grandson Ronald Holst, and brother Lawrence Rupnow.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 13, 2014 in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating.
