Esther E. Boardway, age 81 of Oshkosh died November 4, 2005, at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born January 26, 1924 in Loginsport, Indiana. She was the daughter of Andrew and Ann (Cilar) Griffey. She married Joseph Du Chateau and they had five children. Her second marriage was to Wesley E. Boardway. They moved to New Mexico for 20 years.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband: Wesley Boardway of Oshkosh; brothers: Robert Griffey, James Griffey both of Oshkosh, and George Griffey of Seattle, Washington; a grandchild: Christopher Du Chateau; and Great-grandchild: Malachi Schmude. She is survived by her sisters: Mary Will of Texas, Shirley Menning of Iowa, Betty Schleicher of Oshkosh, and Virginia Mills of Iowa; her children: Carol Harrington of Oshkosh, Dorothy Hein of Neenah, Joseph Du Chateau of Ft. Atkinson, Patricia Metzler of Hancock, and Barbara Hilt of Ft. Atkinson; sixteen grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering at Evergreen Retirement Community, 1130 N. Westfield, TODAY, Sunday, November 6, 2005, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
