Esther Helen Scheuermann, age 91 of Oshkosh died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Bethel Home. Born February 3, 1920, the daughter of George and Anna (Weitzel) Jordan, Esther married Leo Scheuermann on October 21, 1939 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1986.
Esther was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church all her life and sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Guild for a number of years. She worked for Mueller-Potter Drug Store as a sales clerk. Most of all, Esther loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and was a wonderful baker. During her free time she enjoyed visiting and socializing with her many friends.
Left to love and cherish Esther is her son, James (Rosemary) Scheuermann; daughter, Kathleen (Thomas) Robl; grandsons, David (Marsha) Scheuermann, Daniel (Stephani) Scheuermann; granddaughters, Lisa Scheuermann and Laura (Eric) Hunter; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. Esther was preceded in death by her husband; parents and siblings, Elizabeth Kempinger, Katharine Peppler, Molly Elleson, Katie Kromm, Henry Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Victor Jordan and Norman Jordan.
Funeral service for Esther will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 North Eagle Street with Pastor David Pagel officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
