Eugene J. Schug Jr., age 49, of Omro, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack, Saturday morning, March 24, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on November 20, 1968, in Oshkosh, the son of Eugene and Judith (Schilling) Schug Sr., Eugene married Kimberly Krause on April 25, 1992.
A production worker at Oshkosh Truck for the past 15 years, Eugene enjoyed his free time with cars, Ford Trucks, Kawi Motorcycles, and hunting. Almost everything came to a standstill when the "Price is Right" show came on TV. He could be found at Ron's Trail Inn for "Buck Beers" and was known to be available for "Free Pizza Friday."
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Schug; two children, Aerieal (finance' Francis Diedrich) and Edward (significant other, Emily Kasuboski) Schug; his father, Gene Schug; his sister, Jennifer (Dan) Wirl; his nephew, Mitchell Drake; father-in-law, John (Carol) Krause, Sr.; mother-in-law, Judith (James) Smith; two brothers–in-law, John (Lisa) Krause Jr. and Justin (Scott) Krause-Brown; two nieces, Harper and Ruth; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Preceding Eugene in death is his mother; two aunts, Sally Freeman and Mary Berndt; and his grandparents.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., in Omro. The family is very grateful for the Omro/Rushford first Responders endless efforts for Eugene.
