Evelyn "Evie" Trochinski Kress, age 74, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. Evie was born on March 21, 1948 to Leonard and Wilma Trochinski. Evie graduated from Berlin High School. She worked in the banking and finance industry until she retired at age fifty. Along with her husband of 43 years, she enjoyed wintering in Florida to play golf, shuffleboard and dirty marbles. She achieved a "hole in one" and is a legacy member of Mascoutin Country Club, Berlin.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Kress; her siblings, Carolyn (Tony) Dolata, Jerry (Barb), Eugene (Mary Jo) and Catherine (Randy) Ellis; her sisters-in-law, Nancy Trochinski, Wilma (David) Cox and Lorri Reinhardt; and her close friend Sue (Bob) LaBuda. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard.

Although they had no children, Evie prided herself in memorizing the birthdates of her 14 nieces and nephews and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews. She never missed sending a birthday card to each of them and she attended many of their special events, including baptisms, graduations, weddings, and holiday gatherings.

She was a wonderful person and friend. She was also a devout Catholic who always shared her time with everyone. Evie will be greatly missed—her legacy of kindness, love and caring will live on in those she loved.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St Mary's Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro at 11 AM on Saturday, May 28th. Visitation at the church will be from 9-11 AM. Burial will be at the Waukau Cemetery immediately following the Mass.

Memorials to benefit Casa Esther and the Omro Thrift Store are welcomed.
