Evelyn Delores Matsche, age 85 of Oshkosh died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Bethel Home. She was born May 6, 1924, the daughter of John and Mary (Weitz) Befus. Evelyn married Kenneth H. Matsche on June 1, 1946 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2000. Through the years Evelyn loved doing many different things such as cooking, reading, playing cards and bingo.

Evelyn will be missed by her children, Gerald (Chris) Matsche of Menominee Falls, Edward (Kathy) Matsche of San Jose, California, Timothy (Julie) Matsche of Oshkosh; her 10 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Dorothy Matsche. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Keith Matsche; brothers, John Befus and Victor Befus; sisters, Lydia Vaughan, Marie Schmude, Ernestine McClellan and Rose Cartwright.

Funeral service for Evelyn will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street.
