Evelyn Puhl, age 94, of Oshkosh, died Monday evening, March 26, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on January 11, 1913 in Milwaukee to William and Clara (Rynders) Bischoff. Evelyn married Andrew Puhl November 1932 in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death in 1983.
Evelyn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, and cooking. She was known to pull a slot machine handle a time or two.
Survivors include a son, Jerry (JoAnn) Puhl of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lori, and Tabitha; a sister, Esther Kasper of Oshkosh; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Evelyn in death are her husband, parents, two infant children, a brother, William Bischoff Jr., two sisters, Margaret Meyer, and Florence Liske.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1020 W. Sixth Ave., with Reverend Carl Schmitt officiating. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held on Friday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
