Faith E. Robertson, nee MacDonald, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born in Milwaukee on January 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (Griswold) MacDonald. On September 5, 1953 she married her husband of 45 years, Bruce Robertson. Faith was proud to graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, earning a degree in Speech Therapy, and becoming a therapist for many years in the Oshkosh Area Public Schools. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and participated in many activities, including the choir. Her hobbies included: all puzzles, crocheting, knitting, reading, scrapbooking, and feeding birds at her house in the woods. Faith will be remembered for her sense of humor, attention to progressive issues, and devotion to her faith.
Faith is survived by her daughters: Ellen Robertson of Oshkosh, Linda Robertson and Nancy Sell, both of Eagan, MN; grandson, Alexander Sell; brother-in-law, Marvin (Mary Ann) Robertson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; son-in-law, Jonathan Sell; and sister, Prudence (Stanley) Botz.
Friends will be received at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 110 Church Ave., Oshkosh, with Faith's Witness to the Resurrection at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Tom Willadsen officiating.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and caregivers of Hospice Advantage, Sterling House and Eden Meadows for their wonderful care and concern for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Faith's name may be given to First Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
