Florence Mary Jurgens, age 92, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday evening, January 28, 2005 at Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation. She was born on June 8, 1912 in Wallace, Michigan a daughter of the late Albert A. and Florence Mae (Bettie) Allegeyer. She married George Jurgens on May 11, 1932 in Daggett, Michigan. George preceded her in death on September 10, 1976. She had lived in Milwaukee from 1950 until moving to Oshkosh in 1998. She greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bingo and time spent with family and friends. She had traveled most of the United States including Alaska, Hawaii and some of Europe.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Gerald) Winchester-Fischer of Oshkosh and Ruth (Richard) Widder of Nampa, Idaho; four grandchildren, Garry (Kathy) Winchester of Oshkosh, Bruce (Kim) Winchester of Eau Claire, Rick (Lili) Widder of Boise, Idaho, Dawn (Randy) Eternick of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Wendy (Scott) Okon, Tim Winchester and fiance' Wendy Rates, Bill, Sarah and Emily Winchester, Eric Lopez and Nico Lopez. Further survived by two brothers, Clarence Allegeyer of Escanaba, Michigan and Wilfred Allegeyer of Menominee, Michigan; a sister, Elizabeth Nelson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Roy Winchester; and a grandson, Greg Widder.
Funeral services for Florence will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 12 noon at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Friends and family will gather for visitation at the funeral chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Michigan. A memorial fund is being established.
