Florence L. Palmer, age 100, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born in Detroit, MI on March 10, 1915 the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Ramsay) Palmer. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, Florence attended Oshkosh State Teacher's College and University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She was an Admissions Examiner at UW-Oshkosh for 30 years. During this time she was a life member of AAUM and member of Friends of the Oshkosh Public Library. During retirement, Florence was active in League of Women's Voters, Learning in Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary, and the AARP local.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents; and her infant brother, Charles E. Palmer.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Evergreen Retirement Community Chapel, 1130 N. Westfield St., Oshkosh. Friends will be received at Evergreen from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
