Frances E. Galow, age 85, of Oshkosh, died Thursday morning, August 20, 2015, at Bethel Home. Born on November 18, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Schoenradt) Lange, Frances married Lynn Galow on September 10, 1948, in Menominee, Michigan. Lynn preceded Frances in death on November 14, 2007.
A long-time member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, Frances was a part of Grace Circle and Grace Forever Young. Her interests were varied as she was a member of Oshkosh Bird Club, Twentieth Century Club, Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary, where she was a volunteer with the Museum's Archivist, Winnebago Audubon Society, and a Charter Member of Edward S. Bragg #8 Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Frances enjoyed deer hunting up north and going for scenic rides in the country.
Survivors include her children, Charles Lynn (Laurie) Galow and LuAnn Frances (Kenneth) Williams, both of Oshkosh; a granddaughter, Rachel Lynn (fiancé' Jake Peterson) Williams of Oshkosh; a brother-in-law, Robert (Lois) Stange of Waupaca. Preceding Frances in death is her husband, parents, a sister, Linda Wolf, a brother, Leonard Lange; a sister-in-law, Sadie Lange; and her faithful dogs, Teddy and Wojo.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Duquaine officiating. Interment will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
