Gilbride, Frank M. of Omro, WI (originally from Racine). Frank joined our Heavenly Father on September 9, 2015 at the age of 90 years.He was one of six children born to Morris and Agnes (Lawrence) in Youngstown, Ohio. Frank was raised and attended school on Chicago's south side. In 1943 he enlisted in the United States Army and served our country as a turret gunner on a B24 during WWII. At the time of his return, he attended nursing school at Alexian Brothers and later earned a degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. In 1954 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, he met his loving wife, Fran (Dulak). A year later they were married at St. Josaphat's Basillica and this union was blessed with seven children.Frank would later take a job as a CRNA at St. Luke's Hospital in Racine, where he and Fran raised their kids. In 1988, Frank retired after 30 years of service. Eventually Frank and Fran moved to Omro to be closer to family and their cottage.Frank will be fondly remembered for his amazing generous heart, impeccable integrity, and Christian values. His children and grandchildren will continue his service on Earth by the examples that he set for them.Surviving Frank is his devoted wife, Fran, and their seven children: Mary (Tom) VanLieshout of Neenah, Patsy (Cliff) Engel of Menasha, Jim (Kim) Gilbride of Menasha, Eileen Church of Mt. Pleasant, Therese (Tom) Andersen of Racine, Tom (Cindy) Gilbride of Beaver Dam and Paul (Nancy) Gilbride of St. Louis. He will also be extremely missed by his twelve grandchildren: Mike VanLieshout, Joey (Sarah) VanLieshout, Sean Gilbride, Katy (fiancé Matt) Church, Leah (Jordon) Martone, Alyssa (Frank) Morelli, Ryan and Matthew Andersen, Tara (John) Darnell, Calli (fiancé Nick) Gilbride, and Calvin and Molly Gilbride. He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren: Margaret and Annabel Martone, Kateri Darnell, and Audrey and Rocco Morelli. Also surviving Frank are his three sisters: Rosemary (Ed) Wolf, Ann (Jim) Gallagher, and Lee (the late Art) Thompson, Fran's brother, Wally (Carol) Dulak and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fran's parents, and his two brothers and their wives: Ed (Mary) Gilbride and John (Dolores) Gilbride. Family will receive visitors at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m.The family would lovingly like to thank Dennis and Sherri Bier, Fran and Frank's incredible neighbors, Bethel Lutheran Home for their dedicated and compassionate care for our father, ThedaCare Hospice, especially Jeanne and Amy and the many people who showed their love through visits, cards, and prayers for our parents.
