Gaylord Floyd Reimer "Gay", age 91, of the town of Poygan, passed away July 17, 2017. He was born December 8, 1925, in Oshkosh, the son of George and Anna (Young) Reimer. Gay and his wife, Connie resided in the Winneconne area for many years. He enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, hunting, boating and golfing. Gay served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.Gay is survived by his wife of 45 years, Constance A. (Tarasewicz) Reimer, of Poygan; son, Steven Reimer of Omro; grandchildren, Deanna (Preston) Freeman, Casey (Jill) Reimer, David Reimer, Stephanie Reimer, Michael Reimer, Shannon Reimer, Jeremy Reimer and Adena Reimer; numerous great grandchildren; step-daughters, Sharon Mickelson, Alana (Richard) John; step-grandchildren, Corinne (Dan) Macemon, Keith Mickelson, David Mickelson, Alana A. John, Dean John, Ryan John and their families, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Reimer; son, Gary and great grandson, Isaiah John Traster.The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 24, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. with the Memorial Service being held at 1:00 P.M. with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Gay will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors at Winneconne Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Oshkosh Humane Society.
