Gene E. Giddings, age 87, died Friday, February 5, 2010. He was born June 21, 1922 in the town of Poygan, the son of John and Geneva (McCabe) Giddings.

Gene is survived by his nieces, nephews and their spouses, Donald and Cindy Giddings, Robert and Julie Giddings, David Giddings, Roger and Debra Giddings, John F. Giddings, Katie Wipf, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Giddings. He is also survived by his very dear friend, Arnold "Satch" Bersch, Jr.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Vivian Giddings, John H. Giddings, Francis and Virginia Giddings, and niece, Connie Putzer.

Gene graduated from Omro High School in 1943. He purchased a farm in the town of Poygan and lived there his entire life. Gene's greatest joys were visiting with his many friends, collecting antique cars, and supporting community organizations.

In honoring Gene's wishes, a private service will be held at a later time.
