Gene T. Lentz, age 52, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his home. He was born January 9, 1958 in Oshkosh, the son of Edward and Gloria (Bettin) Lentz. Gene graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1976. He enjoyed music, NASCAR, politics, Packers, Bucks, Brewers and Badgers as well as golf.
Surviving are his mother, Gloria Lentz; children, Mark (special friend Molly Lardon) Lentz, and Sara Lentz all of Oshkosh; sister, Kim (Greg) Lentz-Grau of Wausau; brother, Troy (Susan) Lentz of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, Bill, Walter and Emmalyn Grau of Wausau, Cade and Evan Lentz of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by Edward Lentz, his father, and Esther Bettin and Edna Lentz, his grandmothers.
The funeral for Gene will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3rd, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, led by the Rev. Jeffrey Berg. Visitation will begin at the funeral chapel at 10:00 a.m. In preference to floral tributes a memorial is being established in Gene's name. Condolences may be shared online at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
