Gene "Geno" Schiefelbein, age 60, died peacefully Monday, November 1, 2004 at his home in Oshkosh. He was born on July 8, 1944 in Oshkosh to Elmer and Marcella (Hunke) Schiefelbein. Gene married Ardyce Stiller on June 24, 1967 in Oshkosh at Kingdom Hall. Gene was employed at Leach Company for 31 years as an assembler.
Survivors include his wife; one son: Jerry (Sara) Schiefelbein of Oshkosh; one daughter: Tina Schiefelbein of Oshkosh; two brothers: Glen Schiefelbein of Redgranite, WI and Gary Schiefelbein of Brandon, WI; two aunts: Joyce (Raymond) Smerling of Oshkosh and Virginia Hunke of Sheldon, WI; three sisters-in-law: Lorraine (Don) Halder of Winneconne, WI, Cheryl (Lonnie) Hanson of Florida, Charlotte Stiller of Idaho and two brothers-in-law: William Stiller and Charles (Jill) Stiller both of Omro, WI; his mother-in-law Evelyn (Mike) Kempf of Omro, WI and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Gene in death are his parents, brother-in-law James Stiller and many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street in Oshkosh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2004. Visitation will be at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests that memorials be made to Affinity Visiting Nurses/Hospice or Michael Wichtel Cancer Care Center. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Karen Gremminger and her staff.
