Obituary

After a long, happy and productive life, George P. Faust, died peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2007 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 31, 1914 in Oshkosh to George W. and Bertha (Last) Faust, being a life-long resident of Oshkosh. George married Henrietta Pommerening in 1941, and shortly afterward was called to serve in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the war he returned to Oshkosh, working in several area businesses, including, until his retirement, Miles Kimball.

After Henrietta's death in 1974, George married Ellen Ruddy Juedes, enjoying 26 wonderful years together with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. George had a life-long love of cars, enjoying antique cars, as well as rides on the country roads of Wisconsin. He also enjoyed collecting and listening to the music of the Big Band Era and was an avid reader. George was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and worked as an EAA Museum Docent. His large family was the source of his greatest pride and joy. George loved many and was loved by many, and wished to be remembered in that way.
