George R. Hartman, age 82, passed away at Northpoint Medical and Rehab, on October 3, 2015. He was born in Oshkosh in 1933, son of George J. "Huck" and Ottilia L. "Tillie" Hartman. In 1959, George was married to Patricia Joann Ellis. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a supervisor at Leach Company. He was a hard-working family man, who greatly loved the time he spent with family; especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, and also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, playing poker, and golfing; especially when golfing at the Greater Klink Open in Crivitz. George was a straight-shooter who told it like it was.
George is survived by his wife Patricia Joann Hartman; their children and grandchildren, Terri L. (Louis) Nett (daughter and son-in-law), Brian J. Britz (grandchild), Bret G. Hartman (son), Jesse R. Hartman (grandchild), Jacob F. Hartman (grandchild), Trudy L. (Glen) Kromm (daughter), Casey A. (Brittney) Kromm (grandchild), Sophia Lily Kromm (great-grandchild), Christopher G. Kromm (grandchild), Lynsie L. (Rene`) Kromm (grandchild), Patsie J. (Mike) Kromm (grandchild), Brad J. Hartman (son), Riley S. Hartman (grandchild); his brothers, Harvey K. (Dianne A.), Clyde G. (Elaine O.), and Glenn L. (Ruby I.). He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Shirley M. (Jerome L. "Klink"), and Muriel K. (David A. "Daisy").
Private family services will be held. George will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
