Gerald Leon "Jerry" Neumueller, age 77, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center due to complications involving prostate cancer. He was born in Oshkosh to Louis and Elizabeth (Messing) Neumueller on August 31, 1930. He married Patricia Flanagan in the spring of 1957 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death. Jerry then married Dolores Ann "Dolly" Washnieski Sitzberger on September 19, 1959 in Oshkosh.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved boating, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Hank's Club, West Side Fishing Club, numerous "Unlimited" organizations and a lifetime member of the Otter Street Fishing Club. He was also a proud member of the Inland Lake Yachting Association and past Commodore of Oshkosh Yacht Club. During the Korean War, Jerry served with the U.S. Army Signal Corp, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. .
A bricklayer for many years, he eventually took the opportunity to become an independent insurance agent. He worked for the former Garot-Christman Agency in Appleton for the majority of his career and only recently retired from the Red Vogds and Associates agency in Fond du Lac.
Jerry was a member of St. Jude Parish, Elks Lodge #292, and the Catholic
Order of Foresters.
Surviving Jerry are his wife, Dolores "Dolly", his children, Peggy Ann (Roger) Gravrok, John Paul (Becky), Robert Ralph (Diana), Patti Ann (Don) Peppler, and Carol Jean (Mike) Pfeilstifter; his grandchildren, Raymond, Rosalyn, Ruby, and Regina Gravrok; Marc, Michael, Kate, Sam, and Max Neumueller; Katherine and Jack Peppler; and Jonathan, Mara, Alexis, and Joseph Pfeilstifter. He is further survived by his brother, Richard (Sue) Neumueller and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his first wife, Patsy, Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother, first-born son, Michael, and his sister Jane Niemuth.

Funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, corner of South Park and Oregon Street, with Reverend William Van DeKreeke officiating, assisted by Deacon Raymond Brandenstein. Visitation will be from 3-6 pm on Tuesday at the church. A reception will follow the service. A private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
