Geraldine Karrles, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was 86 years old. Geraldine was born in Cleveland, Wisconsin to Edward and Louise Sixel. She attended the Milwaukee School of Nursing and graduated in 1942. Gerry married Dr. William Loos in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1977. She then married Mr. Clifford Karrels in 1979.

Geraldine is survived by her husband Clifford; two daughters: Catherine Loos of Milwaukee and Carol Bell of La Crosse; two stepsons: Dr. Mark (Linda) Karrels of Janesville, and Thomas (Teri) Karrels of Oshkosh; two stepdaughters: Susan (Devon) Jones of Neenah, and Lynn Parker of Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by one sister, Dorothy Stuhr of Two Rivers, and other relatives and friends. In accordance with Geraldine's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and private family services have been held. Memorials are suggested to the Oshkosh Humane Society in Geraldine's name.
