Geraldine "Gung" Miller, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was born May 19, 1920, in Oshkosh, the oldest of three children to Oscar and Elsie (Slater) Morris. On September 11, 1956, she married her husband of 54 years, Gordon Miller. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2013. Geraldine had taught and retired as an art teacher from the Winneconne School System. She had many interests and passions in life. Geraldine pursued the arts and fashions and very much enjoyed painting, making pottery, jewelry and weaving. She had a tender heart for animals and loved her dogs very much.
Gung is loved and will be missed by her nieces, Penny (Burton) Schmidt of Oshkosh, Dawn (Mike) Bernier of Oshkosh; nephews, Malcom (Kathy) Foust of Sheboygan, Roger (Linda) Foust of Omro; Mike (Barbara) Miller of N.C. and David Miller of Oshkosh; brothers in law, Vernon Foust of Oshkosh, David (Toni) Miller of Stone Lake; other relatives and many special near and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordy; infant son, Timothy Irving Miller; sister, Marilyn Foust; brother, Steven O. Morris; father and mother in law, Harry and Katherine Miller and brother in law, Marvin Miller.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Geraldine will be laid to rest with her husband at Riverside Cemetery.
