Geraldine Seraphine, age 87 of Oshkosh, died in her home on Wednesday September 14, 2011. She was born October 17, 1923 in Milwaukee to Alois and Alma (Raths) Dega. She married Chester Seraphine on Feb 13, 1947.
Gerri enjoyed golfing, gardening, playing cards and her favorite thing, taking care of her family. She touched the hearts of all who met her with her smile and subtle sense of humor. She is so very loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Geralyn Seraphine and son, Alan (Judy) Seraphine; daughter-in-law Jean Seraphine; her grandchildren, Kristofor (Sue) Seraphine, Michael Seraphine, Michelle (Scott) Bathke, Anthony Seraphine, Matthew Seraphine; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Ella Bathke; sister-in-law Marlene Dega; and her kitty, Sweete. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chet; brother, Robert Dega, and her son, Timothy Seraphine.
Funeral service for Gerri will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N. Sawyer Street with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating.
