Gertrude G. (Gilbert) Spoor, a grand elderly lady of 100 years, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Arborview Manor Assisted Living in Oshkosh. She was born March 18, 1918 to the late LeRoy and Marie (Steffence) Gilbert and was the wife of the late Lyle Spoor.

Gert enjoyed 5 generations of family and friends. She was a caring person. She lived, worked, and volunteered, and enjoyed gatherings at the cottage in Winneconne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, mother-in-law and father-in-law, sister-in-law, and a daughter-in-law.

She is survived by three children, Judith (Thomas) Washburn, of Winneconne, Neal (Faye) Spoor, of St. Francis, and Lyle (special friend Irene Schneider) Spoor, of Eldorado; and one brother, Arthur Gilbert, 93, of Milwaukee; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

The family wishes to thank the excellent staff at Arborview Manor and the Hospice Program, especially her nurse, Brad, for all the care they administered to her.

Per her wishes there will be no visitation. Her cremation will take place. Her celebration of life was celebrated at her 100th birthday, which was her goal. Rest in peace Ma.
