Gilbert G. "Gilly" Rogers, age 83, of Omro, died Monday morning, April 23, 2018, at his home. Born on February 11, 1935, in Borth, Wisconsin, the son of Stanley and Florence (Carpenter) Rogers, Gilbert married Barbara Jean Finnegan of Pine River on August 7, 1955.
Employed by Georgia-Pacific on the production line for 42 years, Gilbert enjoyed his vegetable garden, camping, and travelling with family members.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rogers of Omro; six daughters, Teresa (John) Zahn of LaCrosse, Debbie (William) Rogers of Spring Hill, Florida, Julie Rogers of Omro, Sherry (Philip)Adams of Markesan, Wisconsin, Pamela (Jerome) Pongratz of Winneconne, and Patti Rogers of Neenah; two brothers, Kenneth (Betty) Rogers of Oshkosh and Jerry (Judy) Rogers of Omro; a sister, Marcella (Richard) Gustke of Redgranite; three grandchildren, Stephanie Klonecki, Patrick Zahn, and Philip (Chelsea) Adams; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Klonecki, Mason Klonecki, Bowie Adams, and Daysha Crail.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 5:00 p.m., in Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A special thank you to the caring staff of Affinity Home Hospice for all their help in Gilbert's care.
