Gladys M. Reque, age 95, of Oshkosh, died Friday morning, May 14, 2004 at Bethel Home. She was born on March 2, 1909 in Oshkosh to Louis and Emma (Hawley) Tyriver. Gladys was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a housemother for UW Oshkosh students for many years.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Jane Reque of Oshkosh; four grandchildren: Sally (Tom) Witak of Oshkosh; John Reque of Madison; Susan Reque of Oshkosh; Julie (Brad) Cobb of Oshkosh; nine great-grandchildren: Nathan, Kara, Alex, Krista, John Jr., Kourtney, Samantha, Keven, and Benjamin; and one great-great-granddaughter: Destiney. Preceding Gladys in death are her parents; two sons: Neuman and Richard Reque; one great-granddaughter: Sarah; one sister: Alberta Tyriver; and two brothers: Glen and Orville Tyriver.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. in Bethel Home Chapel, 225 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Harry Naden and Reverend David Rumlow officiating and interment will be a Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Bethel Home Chapel. Memorials are requested to First United Methodist Church or Bethel Home.
