Obituary

Glen M. "Turk" Siekierke, age 77 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Oshkosh on May 12, 1933, the third son of Francis and Hedwig Siekierke. Glen married Ruthann Binder on August 17, 1957 and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2002.
Glen served in the Armed Forced and upon his discharge began employment at the Neenah Foundry Company until his retirement. He was a active member of the Eagles Club for 59 years. Bowling and working on crossword puzzles were his favorite hobbies.
Left to forever remember Glen are his son, Craig; half-brothers, Ronald, Steven, Gary, Mark; half-sisters, Julie (Norman) Boese and Peggy; sisters-in-law, Cathryn, Teri; nieces, Patricia, Susan (David) Klitzke, Paula Todd, Diane (William) Miller, Nancy Babcock, Dorothy (Robert) Dias, Staci (Steven) Lautenschlager; nephews, Philip, David (Cindy), Robert (Bobbi), Scott (Joanne) Siekierke; numerous great-nieces and nephews, extended family members and close friends. Glen was preceded in death by his wife; parents; step-mother, Marion; four brothers, Marvin, Donald, Francis Jr., Dennis; half-brother, Lawrence; niece, Margareta Cadette.
Funeral service for Glen will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street with an Eagles service at 6:15 p.m. The family will greet friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Glen's memory. Please visit www.seefeldfuneral.com to send online condolences to the family.
