Gloria M. Ambrose, age 80 of Oshkosh died on Monday, November 28, 2005. She was born October 24, 1925 to Peter and Marie (Daubert) Scheuermann. She married Ned Ambrose who preceded her in death in 1969.

Gloria worked for and retired from the Oshkosh Telephone Company. She was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church. She struggled with diabetes. In recent years she was a great support to her son Chris during his battle with cancer. He returned that support during her courageous battle with cancer.

Gloria is survived by her sons: Chris Ambrose and fiancee Karen Rakich of Oshkosh, and Thomas (Mary) Ambrose of Ocala, Florida; three grandchildren; life long friend: Alvin Pfaffenroth; and close friend: Donna Carew. She was preceded in death by her beloved rottweiler of 14 years: Jamie.

Funeral services for Gloria will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 2, 2005, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, Reverend Jeffery Knoll officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held at the Seefeld Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and also on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
