Gloria Mae Rhode, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away Friday morning, June 1, 2012, at Evergreen Health Center. Gloria was born on September 10, 1925, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to David and Mollie (Hartman) Lutz. She graduated from West Milwaukee High School. Gloria married Donald A. Rhode on September 20, 1947, in Van Dyne, Wisconsin. Don passed away on January 12, 2009.
Gloria was a stay-at-home mother to three children except for seasonal work at Miles Kimball. She loved to sew, knit, do crafts, jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles and watch Packer games on television. Gloria was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Rhode; son, Dennis Rhode, and son, Keith (Linda) Rhode; grandchildren, Shelby (Jerod) Lloyd and their children, Malley Jo, Greysen, and Leighton; Lance (Shelly) Rhode and their children, Gavin, Evan, Emma Lu, Trent & Traxton, and granddog, Maeze Grace; all of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, Harland Rhode of Hartford; sister-in-law, Gay Rhode of Florida; several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Preceding Gloria were her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Richard Lutz; infant triplet siblings, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Generations Hospice, especially Becky and Margaret, and Evergreen Creekview South staff, for their exceptional care of our mother. We will miss you Mom and Grandma "Gordit".
A service remembering Gloria's life will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Gloria will be laid to rest in Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, in a private family service.
