Obituary

Gregory J. "The Duke" Gehrke Sr., 79, went to be with his loving wife, Suzanne on September 22, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born in Wisconsin on November 14, 1943, to parents, John and Anna (Shettle) Gehrke.

He married Sue on June 5, 1964, and they were inseparable until she passed. They enjoyed bowling in the mixed league, playing cards, and supporting the Oshkosh Humane Society. Greg was also an avid Dodgers fan and was quite talented in his younger days. He also had the gift of everything electronics, especially his CB Radios.

Greg is survived by his three children, Greg Jr. (Terri) Gehrke, John Gehrke and Dawn Gehrke; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Jury; step-sister, Kathy (Gary) Zindler; and his loving cat, Matty. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death his wife, Suzanne; parents; infant son, Gregory John Gehrke Jr; sister, Nancy S.; and brother-in-law, Ron Jury.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St., Oshkosh, WI, 54902, from 10:00am-11:00am, services will start at 11:00am. A burial will take place following at 12:00pm, at Calvary Cemetery in Oshkosh.

The family would like to thank Dr. Weston Radford for giving excellent care to their Dad.
