Heidi A. Seaman (Hatopp), age 50, of rural Oshkosh, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Heidi was born on May 19, 1957 in Menomonee, WI the daughter of Hans and Barbara (Pike) Hatopp. She was educated in the Alpena, MI School System and also attended Alpena Community College, Michigan State University and then attended and graduated from the nursing program at Alpena Community College. She was also a licensed Realtor and Notary. On August 30, 2006, she married Peter M. Seaman in Oshkosh.
Heidi was a free spirit who enjoyed a sense of adventure. She lived in various states throughout the United States before settling in Wisconsin. She lived life to the fullest each and every day. Her sense of humor and her general personality would make her a force to be reckoned with at times. Any reasonable dare was fair game in her eyes, as she often showed the world that she could do almost anything. Heidi had a special fondness for all of God's creatures, even snakes and other reptiles. She loved her farm and had affectionately named it "Roaming Acres." Above all, she had a deep sense of pride and love for all her family and many friends.
Heidi was loved and will be missed by her husband, Peter; parents, Hans Hatopp, Barbara Stoy and step-father, Donald Stoy of Omro, WI; children, Corey Tracey of Omro, WI, Craig and Keith Brown, both of Ypsilanti, MI; step children, Brian (Debbie) Seaman of Oshkosh, WI, Tom (Sue) Seaman of Greenville, WI, Justin Seaman, a student at NYU and Laurel (Brad) Evans of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Jacob and Corissa Brown; step-grandchildren, Carson, Carlie, Triston and MacKena Seaman; brothers and sisters, Kathryn Hatopp of Oshkosh, WI, Hans (Lisa) Hatopp of Oshkosh, WI, Karl (Valerie) Hatopp of Saline, MI; step-brothers and sisters, Deborah (Mike) Bartow of North Fond du Lac, WI and Bruce (Paula) Stoy of Mayville, WI. Heidi is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many near and dear friends.
Services in Heidi's memory and honor will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at the Omro Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Heidi's name, may be directed to any local animal shelter or to the Human Society.
