Joyce Loker, age 89, passed away unexpectedly, March 2, 2018. She was born in Oshkosh, February 13, 1929, daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Steeps) Rolph. On January 24, 1948, she married her husband of 61 years, Lester Loker. Joyce had worked in the meat department at many grocery stores and also was a nursing assistant at a nursing home. She had many interests which included: family, cooking, gardening, painting ceramics, and volunteering. Joyce will be remembered for her humor, practical jokes, kindness, and unbridled humanity.
Joyce is survived by her children, Ron of Oshkosh, Mark (Nancy) of Stoughton, Terry (Paula) of Oshkosh, Dave of Rome, Wisconsin, Dan (Kim) of Kewaskum, Julie of Oshkosh, and her beloved dog, Katie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Connie (Bob) McKeehen, Kimberly Loker, Jason (Katie) Loker, Ryan (Lisa) Curtis, Joe (Melissa) Curtis, Christopher Loker, Phillip (Heather) Loker, and Matthew Loker; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Hannah, and Jack; great-great-grandchildren, Thane, Teagen, and Reyna; sisters, Dora Mae Rolph, Kathy (Dave) Kumbier, and Sherry Wagner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; daughter, Pamela Lynn; parents; grandson, Eric Loker; brothers and sisters, Marilyn Kloberdanz, Lowell Rolph, and Eileen Rolph.
Visitation will be at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 8, 2018, at St Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave, Omro, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Omro Cemetery following services.
The family extends a special thank you to Steve Blaha, MD, and staff at Theda Care Berlin Internal Medicine. A memorial fund is being established in Joyce's name.
