Herman Langeberg, age 98, of Eureka, joined his wife Beatrice "Pokey" in heaven on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Omro Care Center. He was born March 1, 1907 in South Dakota the son of Mary and Albert Langeberg. He married Beatrice (Malnory) on August 17, 1934 and together they were married 66 years. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2000. They lived in Cornell, WI. until 1975 when they moved to Banner Hill Road in Omro. Herman grew up helping on the family farm and eventually bought his own farm.
Herman is lovingly survived by his granddaughter, Robin (Eric) Fink of Eureka; great grandson, Grady; brothers, Lawrence (Tootie) and Ernest Langeberg; sisters, Emma Hayes, Mary Clark and Eleanor Doro; other survivors include in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Patricia and her husband Robert Clow, brothers, Albert, Arthur, John "Jack", Bertrum and Lee; and sisters, Agnes and Freda.
In respect to Herman's memory, visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2005 at the Eureka United Methodist Church in Eureka from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Donald Olm officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh. A memorial has been established.
