Hildah Van Loan White, formerly of Athens, New York, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was 92. She was born in Gilboa, a daughter of the late Frank and Sadie Shelp Van Loan. A Tannersville High School graduate, Hildah worked as a licensed beautician in Lexington and later at the Greendale Packing Plant until 1968. For many years she lived in Athens and Prattsville. She married Edgar H. White on September 27, 1969. Hildah was predeceased by her husband, Edgar; a brother Lewis Van Loan, two sisters Olive VanValkenburgh and Blanche Minew. Hildah is survived by a nephew and his wife, Larry and Marianne Minew of Omro, Wisconsin. She is also survived by great nieces and great nephews and their children. Visitation and funeral services were held in Catskill, New York. Following the funeral service, Hildah was laid to rest next to her husband at Athens Rural Cemetery, Athens, New York.
