Howard A. Miller, age 94, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016. He was born in the Town of Nekimi on July 4, 1922 the son of the late Arthur and Leona (Merten) Miller. On October 7, 1944 he married his wife of 62 years, June Wagner. She preceded him in death on December 2, 2006. Howard owned and operated the family dairy farm until 1988. He later worked for Century Fox and Arrowhead Conveyer. He was known to enjoy woodworking, playing cards and gambling. Howard will be remembered for his enjoyment of spending time with his family and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, June; daughters: Debra and Peggy Miller; his parents, Arthur and Leona Miller; nephew, James Borgardt; and brother-in-law, Harry Borgardt. He is survived by his sister, Elmyra Borgardt of Pickett; and nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 240 W. 9th Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. John Worzala-Dumbke officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Town of Nekimi.
