Inez E. Reitz Craig, age 83, of Delhi, passed away peacefully Monday, May 31, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 6, 1926, in Omro, the daughter of Elmer and Edith (Blair) Reitz. She was a graduate of Omro High School. She married Richard Craig on July 14, 1945.
She worked various jobs, her latest being the bookkeeper for the family owned business –Craig Trucking. She enjoyed traveling the back roads with Dick, and was always known to take off at the drop of a hat to pick up parts for the business. She loved getting together with her Bible Study group, the prayer group, and the Women's group at church. She liked to cook and bake, and was always looking for new recipes, and watching cooking shows. She liked to read. She enjoyed crocheting and we will all miss her "scrubbies". She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and had many stories to embarrass them with. We have many, many fond memories with our mom and grama.
Inez is survived by her husband and "soul mate" Richard; one brother, Pete (Nancy) Reitz, special friend, whom she loved like a sister, Ardene Starr; and five children; Paul (Gerrie) Craig, Dennis (Sandy) Craig, Dan (Darlene) Craig, Cyndi (Bob) Wipf, and Patty (Bob) Fink. Her eight grandchildren; Matt, Kate, Christy, Andy, Cory, Troy, Chris and Darla will carry out their Grama's wish by being her pallbearers. Inez was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, and in-laws, their son Darhl Craig, preceded her in death.
Visitation is being planned for 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Waukau United Methodist Church, with the Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 Noon, officiated by Pastor Mallothi Brown and Pastor Chuck Davis. Inez will be laid to rest at the Waukau Cemetery, immediately after the funeral service, with a lunch following at the Waukau United Methodist Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dar and his staff for their loving care and kindness, and for the compassionate help and care from the Hospice team. Thanks also to Home Instead and the staff at Fountainview. A special thank you to Pastor Mallothi Brown, Pastor Chuck Davis, and the church Women's group.
Inez "Lived well, Laughed Often, and Loved Much". To know her, was to love her.
