Obituary

Iris A. (Budtke) Beulen, age 72, of Omro, died Friday evening, October 12, 2007, at Omro Care Center surrounded by the love of her family, following a valiant battle with cancer . She was born August 29, 1935, at Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (Boehning) Budtke. On June 4, 1955, she married Alan Beulen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1994. Iris had worked at the Omro Care Center, Countryside Restaurant, Bethel Home, and Golden Age Care Center in Tomahawk, WI. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a number of the churches organizations; especially enjoying Choir and Bible Study. Iris also enjoyed volunteering at Omro Care Center, traveling, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters in law, James A. (Katherine) and Steven R. (Kathryn); 4 daughters and sons in law, Cynthia R. (Larry) Larsen, Kathleen M. (John) Minckler, Donna J. (James) Davis all of Omro and Lori L. (Paul) Weisse of Appleton; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters in law, Eugene (Sue) Eisner of Oneida, Dale (Lori) Eisner of Crivitz and Terry (Linda) Eisner of Redgranite; 2 sisters and brothers in law, Judy (John) Garcia of Oshkosh and Janet (Ron) Fenske of Waukesha; brother in law, Alfred Sommerfeldt of Princeton. Iris is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; parents, Alfred and Dorothy Budtke; and Helen and Walter Eisner; one grandson, Nathanial Weisse, and a sister, Valerie Sommerfeldt.

In respect to Iris' memory, all relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Brogaard officiating. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gremminger and staff, Dr. Subramani, Dr. Andreini, Dr. Weigel and UW Madison Hospital Staff, PCUI at Mercy Medical Center and Affinity Hospice for all their genuine care and concern shown to Iris and the rest of the family.
