James E. Bronson, age 77 of Oshkosh died at Bethel Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. He was born in Oshkosh on February 24, 1931to Clarence and Florence (Dreyer) Bronson. On November 28, 1953 he married Faye Reimer. She preceded him in death on June 21, 1989. On August 10, 1990, he married Eileen Hintz Hansen.

James was a salesman who enjoyed a festive atmosphere with family and friends. He was a jokester and a story teller who loved music, tinkering with models, and cooking.

Surviving James are his wife, Eileen Bronson; children: Jan (Gerald) Anklam, Paul (Kris) Bronson, and Karyn (Randy) Tesch; step-children: Christine (Lawrence) Flarety, Laura (Blaine) Felsman, Mary (Mark) Zelhofer, and Thomas (Kareene) Hansen; fifteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his first wife, Faye, James was preceded in death by sons, David and Brian Bronson, and his brother, Bruce Bronson.

A memorial service for James will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
