Obituary
James C. Cahill, 91, passed away on November 1, 2025 in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on March 2, 1934. He married Beverly Ann Gruse on May 23, 1959 in Oshkosh, WI and together they had five children.
James was an avid outdoorsman, and was an active member in many organizations: he was the Vice President of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Treasurer for Ducks Unlimited and he won educator of the year for Hunter's Safety. He also enjoyed woodworking and amateur photography. He owned his own sharpening business, sharpening everything from chainsaws to professional forestry tools.
He is survived by daughters, Patti Cahill, Kelley Hale; sons, Kevin Cahill, Brian (Apryl) Cahill of Flower Mound, TX, and Mike (Jackie) Cahill; grandchildren, Jason Stieg, Justin Stieg, Austin Swan, Stephanie Cahill, Jeremy Cahill, Marshall Cahill, Brady Cahill and Abigail Cahill; great-grandchildren, Jackson Stieg, Kai Cahill and Zane Stieg.
He is also survived by a brother, Harold Pagel of Land O' Lakes, WI, two sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Beverly Cahill; son-in-law, Ron Hale; and grandson, Christopher Cahill.
A committal service will be held at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11AM. A short gathering will take place immediately prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
