James "Jim" Goodwin, 75, passed away in Oshkosh, on April, 4, 2025, at Aurora Hospital with his family by his side.
Jim was married to his loving wife, Barbara for 55 years. They lived in Oshkosh, where they raised four children.
He served in the military until he was medically discharged due to MS. He had many skills and held many jobs throughout the years. His passion was being a mechanic for life with racing in his blood. Jim loved to work on cars and being out in the garage, from body to engine work and everything in between Jim did it all and wanted to teach others what he knew.
Throughout the years Jim had many ups and downs with his health and MS even with this, Jim very much enjoyed being outside. He loved camping with his family. He also enjoyed gardening and always planted a garden each year while planting many trees as well.
James was preceded in death by his father, Lyndon Goodwin and mother, Gladys Goodwin (Stilp).
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sanders); son, Timothy (Amy Miller) Goodwin; three daughters, Lisa Goodwin, Tina (Rob) Boehning and Teresa (Josh) Skaug; grandchildren, Isaiah and Ally Skaug, Katrina and Ryley Goodwin; grand daughter, Stormie (Josh) Frey; great-grandson, Jason Frey; sisters, Linda (Jim) Fournier, Lucy (Loni) Lecy and Debra (Mike) Dillman; brother, Ward Goodwin; cousins, Ronald (Barbara) Berry. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services will be held at Oakbrook Church, 3126 W. 20
th
Ave. Oshkosh, WI on Thursday, April 17, with visitation being held from 1pm to 3pm and services and military honors to follow.
