James D. "Jimmy" Langlitz passed away at University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, ending a courageous six year battle with M.A.C. infection. Jimmy was born to James A. and Kay (Ziegenhagen) Langlitz on June 29, 1970.
A thirst for knowledge led Jimmy to actively search for information about history, astronomy, and science in general. Despite his illness, he was able to travel the world using the internet. Google Earth could take him anywhere he wanted. Jimmy attended Oshkosh North High School. He loved playing golf, pool, and darts. True to his heritage, he loved the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.
Mourning the passing of Jimmy are his mother, Kay Langlitz; sisters: Patti (David) Adams, Lisa (Larry) Lipke, and Lori (Jon) Mortensen; brother, Jeffery (Victoria) Langlitz; grandmother, Ferne Langlitz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. His father, James A. Langlitz preceded him in death.
A funeral service for Jimmy will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Seefeld Funeral and Cremation Services, 1025 Oregon Street. A time for sharing support and memories will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
