James H. Miracle, age 64, of Butler, Wisconsin, and formerly of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, January 23, 2007 at Vitas Innovative Hospice Care in Wauwatosa. He was born on September 3, 1942 in Oshkosh to William H. and Rose A. (Rhyner) Miracle. James was employed as a dock man for Foreway Express Trucking Company for 30 years before retiring in September of 1994. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Miracle of Milwaukee; a daughter, Cheryl (Mike Beix) Miracle of Milwaukee; mother of his children, Ramona Miracle of West Allis; two grandchildren, Bryce and Evan Miracle; four sisters, Joyce Steinert of Oshkosh, Alyce (John) Little of Winneconne, LaVerne (Paul) Urlich of Berlin, Donna Matthias of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin,; two brothers, Harvey (Nancy) Miracle of Poysippi, and Rollie (Maxine) Miracle of Oshkosh. Preceding James in death are his parents; three sisters, Arlene Boelter, Lolus Towey, Deanna Tod; two brothers, Burton Miracle and William Miracle Jr.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Chaplain Timothy Samorajski officiating. Interment will be in Brooks Cemetery with military honors given. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial is being established in James' memory.
