James H. Nourse, age 70, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday evening, May 18, 2016. Born on September 23, 1945, in Oshkosh, the son of John and Lulu (Beulen) Nourse, Jim married Loretta (Boodry) Lemerande on June 29, 1985, and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2013.
Employed by the Leach Corporation as a punch press operator for 38 years, Jim was a very patriotic person, serving with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Past Commander of American Legion Post #70. Jim enjoyed playing Cribbage, traveling with his wife, Loretta, and was a loyal Wisconsin Badger Fan.
Survivors include two sons, James Howard Nourse, II, and Dennis Lemerande; three grandchildren, Michael Lemerande, Rebecca Lemerande, and Shane Lemerande; a great-grandson, Carter Lemerande; five siblings, John (Kathy) Nourse, Ray Nourse, Lorna (Glen)Krause, Dan (Cathy) Nourse, and Mary (Joe) Sosinski; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Jim in death is his wife, parents, and a sister, Linda Lemerande.
