James Lee Williams, age 77 of Oshkosh, died at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac on Sunday, February 12, 2012. He was born in Oshkosh to Lee Edward and Genivieve (Skidmore) Williams on October 28, 1934.
He graduated from Oshkosh High School then served in the United States Marine Corp. for two years. After his service, he moved to Milwaukee only to return to Oshkosh where he worked for Rockwell for 31 years. James also owned a greenhouse and landscaping business. During his life he married twice then met Sherry Gaylor in March of 1986. On October 28, 1986 he and Sherry were married. James loved to travel and was an excellent wood worker. He and Sherry would sell his creations at flea markets throughout the area.
Surviving James is his wife, Sherry Williams; step-children: David Gaylor, Tammy Coates, and James Gaylor; and grandson, Jacob Coates.
