Obituary

"She lived for her children"
that's what my sister said.
I heard this with my brother
and had to nod my head.

One thing she didn't know
was all the lives she touched.
There are so many people
who love her very much.

Each one of us will miss you
much more than words can say
but I know deep in my heart
I will see you again someday.
By daughter, Cathy Schumacher

On October 7, 2007, Janet Lewellyn passed away with her family and best friend at her side. She was born on April 30, 1944 to Ralph and Marie Lewellyn. Janet married David Larsen on August 18, 1962 and later divorced in 1987. David preceded her in death in 1998.

Janet held various jobs during her life but the one she considered to be the most important was raising her family. We all have very special memories that we will carry with us forever. She enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Janet loved animals and will be missed by Meesko, Mazie, Kita, Dolban, and Newton.

Surviving Janet are her children, Cathy (Mike) Schumacher, Annette (Jim) Schwochert, and Mike (Kala) Larsen; three grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, and Zac; a brother, Norbert Lewellyn; a niece, Julie (Greg) Schori; and a nephew, John Lewellyn.

Janet's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the following: Aurora Visiting Nurses Hospice, because of the care you gave Janet, and the support you gave to us, we were able to care for our mother at home until she passed away; to Father Carl Schmitt, of St. Raphael Catholic Church, for coming to our home on a Sunday morning to do the final blessing; and to Seefeld Funeral Chapels, for all their assistance.

It was Janet's final wish to have no formal funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary contributions be sent to Aurora Visiting Nurses Association in Janet's memory.

You never simply tried, you always did. You always gave, cared, loved, laughed, and protected no matter the circumstances. Even as Heaven drew near, you continued to be witty, full of surprises, and your thoughts were only about your children and never about yourself. Your wish was for us to remember and be happy...it is with a heavy heart we try and do both. You are the best mom. We LOVE you! You will be remembered...forever!
