Janice C. Matulle, age 74, of Oshkosh, died Thursday afternoon, February 24, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on December 31, 1930 at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh to George and Mabel (Breaker) Ehrenberg. She was the sixth of seven children born to George and Mabel. Janice married Vernon Matulle on September 10, 1949 in Oshkosh.
Janice worked periodically at Miles Kimball and provided in-home care for the elderly throughout much of her working years. She enjoyed a small garden, her flowers, and especially her family. Janice was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Survivors include her husband: Vernon of Oshkosh; one daughter: Sandy (Robert) Hankel of Racine; one son: Terry (Kathy) Matulle of Milton, Wisconsin; five grandsons: Erich (Laura) Wolff, Barry (Becky) Hankel, Brian Hankel, Matthew Matulle, and Corey Matulle; three sisters: Dorothy Marine of Winneconne; Audrey Meisinger of Oshkosh; Charlotte Meisinger of Oshkosh; one brother: Charles (Mary) Ehrenberg of Oshkosh; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: George and Virginia Mottl of Neenah and Julie Ehrenberg of Oshkosh. Preceding Janice in death is one sister: Barbara Drebus, and one brother: Russell Ehrenberg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in Calvary Lutheran Church, 2580 West Ninth Avenue, with Reverend Robert Rosenberg officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Neighbors and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions in Janice's memory may be given to Calvary Lutheran Church. Janice's family wishes to thank the doctors, nursing staff, and hospice personnel of Mercy Medical Center for the care given to their wife, mother, and grandmother.
