Janniece M. Rohan, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2016, at home. Janniece was born on March 7, 1944, in Oshkosh to Alois & Dorothy (Troiber) Stadler. She married Gene Rohan on September 10, 1966 at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Janniece enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and doing ceramics. She loved cooking and baking, crocheting, watching the birds in the backyard, going to her granddaughter's softball games, and taking care of her family. She was one of the St. Joe's Girls. Gene and Janniece loved traveling and visited every state. Janniece is loved and will be missed by her husband of 50 years, Gene of Omro; her children, Douglas of Oshkosh, Debra (Scott) Wagner of Oshkosh, Dawn of Shakopee, MN, and Deanna of Omro; her grandchildren, Allison and Kaitlyn Wagner; sister, Judith (Milo) Miller; in laws, Ted Smit, Robert (Mickie) Rohan, Patti Palecek, Peggy (Jim) Davis; uncle, John (Janet) Troiber, other relatives, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pat Smit, in laws, Pat and Virginia Rohan, brother in law, Stan Palecek, and nephew, Steve Smit. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Omro funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. And again on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., with Rev. Doug LeCaptain and Sr. Pamela Biehl officiating. Janniece will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oshkosh. A memorial is being established in Janniece's name. The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Hospice, especially Julie, for the care and concern shown to Janniece and her family.
