Jean A. Lincoln, age 70, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, January 31, 2006 at Park View Health Center - Pleasant Acres. She was born on August 9, 1935 in Appleton to Harold and Violet (DeWall) Kramer. Jean married David Lincoln on December 30, 1955 in Appleton; he preceded Jean in death on December 29, 2001.
Jean was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, and as a member of various church committees. She was a former Director of St. John Food Pantry; served on Winnebago County Hunger Task Force; and Women's Division of Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include three daughters: Lorrie (Stephen) Thill; Susan (Ricky) Cavanaugh; and Rene (David) Young; ten grandchildren: Stephanie (Chad) Maggard, Stacey (John) Gavin, Sarah Thill, Autumn Marks, David Marks, Allyson Young, Casie Young, Mollie Lincoln, Joshua Lincoln, and Gabrielle Lincoln; three great-grandsons: Logan Thill, Bryce Marks, and Dylan Smeester; her mother: Violet Kramer; two sisters: Betty (John) Abitz and Linda (Jeff) Fuller; brother-in-law: James (Barb) Lincoln; sister-in-law: Kay (John) Senderhoff; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Jean in death are her husband; her father; one son: Gilbert H. Lincoln; great-grandson: John Gavin Jr.; great-granddaughter: Kaitlynn Jean Gavin; and father and mother-in-law: Gilbert and Florence Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 808 North Main Street. A time of visitation and support will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Jean's family is establishing a memorial fund.
